The above image was my absolute favourite moment from Monday Night Raw.
That’s right, I actually gave a shit about the women’s division!
When Charlotte, Becky, and Sasha came down that ramp and got into that ring was just such a welcomed change to the current female roster. I actually teared up.
This was such a moment for that division because, let’s face it, it was becoming quite stale and boring. The same handful of women were appearing and no one was really being shown or given a chance to show what they can do. SOme very talented females are on the WWE roster but you never actually get to see them wrestle that often, if at all, but you sure get to see Paige and the Bellas an awful lot. What happens is fans get restless and fans just do not care.
People can complain about WWE and Vince and say that they are out of touch all they want but it’s total horseshit. The WWE did this because they knew that they needed to do something. Some call me the WWE cheerleader and I could care less, I love that company and there is a reason that they are still around some 50 something years later. They are by no means a perfect company, they make calculated risks and this is one that paid off in a big way.
I can’t wait to see what these ladies do for the WWE and its female division. I hope that they are given the time that they deserve on tv and to show the audience that women’s wrestling is worth caring about again. Their matches shouldn’t be used for piss breaks or beer breaks. Their matches should be treated with the same respect as their male counterparts because they are just as good and talented. I think that is finally going to happen with the three NXT ladies at the forefront.
I know that Dusty is having a laugh up there and smiling down on his kids.
